Your neshama is your first
priority in this world.
Nourishing it is the only way to achieve the life
and relationships you’ve been dreaming of.
You care deeply, but you’re stuck. You’re worn out, frustrated by an endless cycle of conflicts and disconnection. You’re torn by confusion, anxiety, frustration and guilt.
You know there has to be a way for things to be different, and you’re ready to be honest and brave and do the hard work to be present and proactive in your life and relationships.
I’m here to help you on that journey.

Hi, I'm Miriam.
I'm a certified therapist and life coach
and creator of
The Shalva Shift™
I'm passionate about helping women bring more joy, serenity, and fulfillment into their lives and relationships
You might know me as a writer.
Or as a kallah teacher, marriage educator, or artist.
(Yup, it's all the same me.)
For over a decade I've worked to empower women to be shalem from the inside out — by improving their marriages, parenting, and relationships, overcoming overwhelm, developing true bitachon and closeness with Hashem, and most of all, living life as the incredible, unique women they are.
Because caring for your neshama is the very first mission you were given.
It's not any less important than being there for your husband and children, nor does it detract from any other role you have.
In fact, it's the starting point for any lasting change you want to create in your life — in any part of your life.
When you change yourself,
the ripple effect touches everyone in your world.

This is more than just something I've learned through my professional training or experience. I've seen it firsthand in my personal life, as a busy frum woman, just like you.
I'm the mother of 7 wonderful and leibedig children, k"ah. In the course of my marriage, I've been a kollel wife, worked full time, part time, and been a stay at home mom.
I've dealt with complicated and painful relationships, am part of the sandwich generation, live with ADHD and chronic illness, and have experienced post-partum depression on multiple occasions.
I've had big goals, dreams, and successes, and I've also struggled with overwhelm and burnout.

I know what it's like to feel like it's all too much...
Like I can't keep up with the life I've chosen.... Like I have to choose between meeting my family's needs and giving myself space to breathe.... Like no matter how hard I try, something always slips through the cracks and I'm always letting someone down.
Instead of being inspired and fulfilled, I found myself burnt out, frustrated and guilt-ridden, and disconnected from the people I love the most.
I'm so grateful that's not my reality anymore.

Through years of searching, learning, and exploration, I've discovered a new way of living. A framework that has shifted my mindset and reality, so that I can be connected to myself, Hashem, and my loved ones, and live my life as the women I want to be, with serenity, joy and bitachon, regardless of the challenges I'm faced with. It's called The Shalva Shift.

The Shalva Shift is based on three components: Self Wholeness, Active Emunah, and Healthy Relationships.
Together, these form an ecosystem of growth, nourishment, serenity, and connection.
This ecosystem empowers you to show up as the incredible, loving, passionate, and insightful woman you truly are in all areas of your life, to feel supported and close to Hashem, and to experience serenity and fulfillment in your life and relationships.

I want to live in a world where every frum woman feels like she’s showing up as her true self in an exciting, fulfilling way, and gives herself the time and space she deserves, without feeling guilt or pressure to be someone she isn’t.
I want to live in a world where every Jewish home is a nourishing place where every family member can feel safe and loved so they can thrive.
I believe that world starts right here, with you and me.
And I'd love to be a part of your personal shift into shalva.
What does working with me look like?
I'm both a therapist and a coach, and my preferred way of working with clients is a blend of both, so you get the most impactful results.
I am a certified Belief Coding® therapist, have coaching certifications from The Centre for Healing and Transformation Academy, and have also trained in EFT, polyvagal theory, 12 Steps and codependence and addiction recovery.
I bring all of this together into our sessions, so I can support you in your unique situation, with exactly what you need, right now.

What women like you are saying:
— Esti Engel

— Simcha Gefen
“MY HUSBAND AND I WOULD HAVE BLOW-UP FIGHTS, THINGS WOULD JUST ERUPT.
I FELT RESENTMENT, I FELT SELF-RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION. AND A LOT OF PAIN.
I WAS FRUSTRATED AND OVERWHELMED AND STUCK. THERE WAS SUCH A LONG HISTORY HERE, YOU KNOW, I JUST THOUGHT, HOW AM I EVER GONNA GET OUT OF THIS?
Today I feel amazing in my marriage. And hopeful that we really can work through the baggage we both have. Even if he won't ever deal with his stuff, I can deal with mine, and I can change myself.
I can do my own work, regardless of him or anybody else, and no one can ever take that away from me. I can do my part. And that alone is enough to really have an amazing fulfilling marriage.”
